1993 in Poland:
On 3rd of January was held the first concert of "The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity" - WOSP. It was a beginning of long tradition, since that year every January the concert of WOSP is organised and gathers milions of people who give money to save lives of sick people, especially children.
In 1993 the last soldiers of the Russian army, who were stationed on Polish territory in the time of communism, left.

Polish president Lech Walęsa visited Portugal. Portugal on black list of International Amnisty due to violence applied by security forces. Investigation about a serie of prostitutes murders in Lisbon. The suspect was given the name "Lisbon Ripper"
